Haringman Collective is a fusion of hip-hop, psychedelic jazz, and a precise combination of virtuoso musicians and poetic lyricists, uniting broken beats, acid harmonies, dreamy lyrics, and furious rap prophecies. The collective was founded in Jerusalem in 2018 by pianist-keyboardist-musical producer Jonathan Haringman and currently consists of seven musical shamans, in various formats, with Haringman serving as the conductor.
Jonathan Haringman (28) is a pianist, keyboardist, and musical producer. His musical influence stems from a wide range of genres, including classical and Afro-American music, gospel, R&B, fusion, funk, and hip-hop.
The collective’s debut album, Monkey Mind, takes its name from a Buddhist term describing a restless, confused, indecisive, and uncontrollable state of mind. The album was produced by Yossi Mizrachi (Joseph E.shine – Acollective, Ninet Tayeb) and recorded during two consecutive weeks in Israel’s first lockdown, bridging between Los Angeles and Tel Aviv.
Monkey Mind is a meditative journey into the depths of consciousness, leading the listener through profound chaos to a gentle release. It portrays “third encounters” with the mischievous monkey within us, and its training through breath and presence.
The album launch event promises a psychedelic celebration, featuring live renditions of all the album’s tracks, in collaboration with the album’s producer Yossi Mizrachi.
Special guest performer: Ninet Tayeb.
