After a decade of creating behind the scenes with successful musicians in Israel and around the world (Banya Barbie, Carlos Rodriguez and more) – Dan Schachter moves to the front of the stage. Schachter, one of the veterans of the Pantam drum players in Israel, releases a debut album called “Perceptions” containing eight pieces in an ethnic fusion style that take the listener on a journey around the world and into the depths of the soul.
Besides being a musician-creator, Schachter is the founder of the Israeli Pantam drum Festival and teaches music and creativity independently and in schools. Schachter’s ensemble combines the unique sounds of the Pantam with elements of rock, jazz and classical music, breaking the boundaries of familiar music styles. Despite the musical and harmonic complexity, the songs on the album flow and connect to the soul directly.
