Sarel HaCohen arrives with the band for a powerful and unique 360 show

The show presents Hacohen’s musical work, which depicts a personal journey of searching for identity. Through sounds, Hacohen addresses existential and philosophical questions about humanity, faith, society, and God.

At the center of the stage is the ancient and mesmerizing sound of the canon. The performance aims to open a space of listening and peace, healing and collective processing, with its work relying on an ancient musical heritage, while at the same time exploring new sounds. Among the musical influences, Turkish and Persian music stand out, unique jazz rhythms, electronic sound and world music. The result is a unique, fascinating and turbulent mix, in which tradition and modernity meet side by side.

Hacohen’s musical journey began in Jerusalem, singing Afghan melodies at his grandfather’s house, alongside a tradition of Hasidic melodies, through playing jazz piano and canon at the Jerusalem Academy of Music. During his career, he collaborated with leading artists such as Zora Fresco and Dudu Tsa, performed at the Jazz and World Music Festival, and served as a player and arranger in the Israeli Andalusian Orchestra.
