Singer-songwriter Queen Makedah journeys from America to Israel to bring her energizing R&B, neo-soul, hip-Hop infused reggae and afrobeat music w/conscious and inspiring lyrics relative to the times.
Makedah will share selections from her incredible junior album, which includes blazing collaborations with Grammy nominated producers Zion I Kings (Akae Beka/Midnite, Sizzla, Lutan Fyah, Jah 9, Blakkamoore, Chronixx, Protoje and more) and Christopher Meredith (Ziggie Marley, Stephen Marley, Amy Winehouse, Lauryn Hill, Burning Spear and more).
Lyrical inspiration for the album evolved from Makedah’s experience as an elementary school teacher in the poverty and gang violence plagued ghettos of Oakland and Richmond, California.
