Following up on their applauded, sold-out concert at Gagarin in July, Pollyanna Frank returns once more- with courage, love, sharp satire and a new song with lyrics by Adi Keissar
With the understanding that history always repeats itself, and that precisely now that the extreme right is in power, we need it more than ever – the band will release a new song in December -Pollyanna Frank’s first song in decades.
The band released two groundbreaking albums at the end of the eighties/early nineties – “lived and Died in the Closet” (1989) and “no choosing” (1990). Between the protesting wit of “The Hero of the IDF” to the gender bender of “Ziva”, the personal texts, and the simple honesty with which Ellyott announced to the media that she was a lesbian, the band was undoubtedly ahead of its time.
The band members, who live in three different continents but always remain a family, performed in Tel Aviv in the summer – a performance that will be remembered for years as an explosion of emotion and energy. Now they’re back for two more
