Rapper, creator, and spoken word artist Orit Tashoma will take the stage at the HaEzor club for a special performance marking seven years since the release of her acclaimed debut album.
Over recent years, Orit Tashoma has established her position as one of the most fascinating and promising voices in Israel’s hip-hop and spoken word scene. Throughout her journey, she has collaborated with a wide array of prominent musicians, including Abatte Barihun, Jimbo J, Yossi Fine, Itzik Patzatzti, and others.
Her debut album received widespread critical acclaim upon its release, and this festive show at HaAzor offers a renewed meeting point between Tashoma’s sharp, piercing lyrics and artistic identity, and the groove, improvisation, and creative freedom of the jazz world.
The performance brings the familiar tracks of the album to the stage in a rich, new musical attire—jazz arrangements born from Tashoma’s time as a visiting artist at universities in New Orleans and Atlanta.
Tashoma was awarded the “Vital Artist” prize for 2021 by the New Israel Fund, has performed at major festivals and stages including InDnegev, the Israel Festival, the Jazz Festival, Krem De La Slam, and more, and was recently named one of Israel’s 40 most promising young leaders for 2026 in TheMarker’s “40 under 40” ranking.
