The “Kabako” ensemble returns to the stage for a special and exciting evening!
After years of hiatus, we are coming together for one and only show that will take you on a powerful and exciting musical journey. Come celebrate our return to the stage with us on April 21st.

About the band:
“Kabako” is a band that performs roots music originating from Burkina Faso in West Africa, with influences from musical styles such as funk, jazz, rock, rap, reggae, and more. The first connection in the band was formed in 2001 in Burkina Faso between Shahar Kachka and June Ohana, and since then a joint musical and cultural journey around music, life, tribal culture, and joint creation has begun.
In 2007, after each of them had made African music a significant part of their lives, they returned to Burkina Faso, where they learned to play and even build unique traditional instruments such as the belaphone (African xylophone) and the n’goni (African harp). These ancient instruments, with deep meaning in African culture, have become an integral part of the “Kabeko” sound.
The idea for “Kabako” was born in Burkina Faso – a unique musical project that makes modern arrangements of ancient rhythms and songs. The word “Kabko” means inspiration, and it reflects the spirit of roots music and the unique interpretation of each member of the ensemble.
Over the years, the band was joined by Chen Meir on percussion, Uri Kleinman on bass, Michael Avgail on drums, Keren Malka on vocals, Aqua on African dance and vocals, and Esther Rada on vocals. Together they created their first album, in which they combined unique flavors from the diverse backgrounds of each member of the band.

The upcoming show is an event you won’t want to miss! This is your chance to experience the magic of “Kabko” again on stage, in an evening that will be full of energy, rhythm, dancing and inspiration.
