The Jewish Monkeys are coming to "The Zone"!
After performing in front of thousands of people all over Europe and at the most
prestigious festivals such as “Zyget” and “Port”, collaborating with DJ Shantel ("Party
Party Partisan") in front of huge crowds and starring in prime time TV on the German
RTL channel, the veteran Balkan-Klezmer-Punk group are returning to the Ezor in Tel
Aviv in a special launch event of their new EP in the homeland just after returning form
a succesful tour in Germany.
Jewish Monkeys create their version and interpretation of contemporary Jewish music in
a mixture of Yiddish and English and present a satirical show combining Punk, Rock,
Balkan sounds, Afrobeat and lots of wit.
The Suddeutsche wrote about us : "Vulgar, provocative and take the audience out of the
pleasant comfort zone in which they live and make them dance. This klezmer band is
above all a fantastic live performance band in the mode of punk."
The monkeys are: Jossi Reich, Gael Zaidner, Omer Hershman, Henry Vered, Adi Gigi,
Lior Darel, Yaron Ouzana and Elon Tushiner.
