The Hagiga released three CD so far. The first two were released in the prestigious label Fresh Sound Records (Barcelona).
Both CD got enthusiastic reviews from important sites like: JazzTimes.com, JazzReview.com and AllAboutJazz.com.
In 2015-16 the group recorded its third CD “New Directions”. The CD features the Brazilian percussionist Joca Perpignan.
Hagiga received funding from ACUM for this CD. In her shows and records Hagiga collaborated with important artists like Omri Mor, Eli Degibri, Anat Cohen, Avishai Cohen (trp), Ofer Ganor, Omer Klein and more.

“Hagiga” has developed its own sound along the years, sound that comes from the unique personality of each member of the group.
The members of the sextet use these original compositions as a launch pad from which they take off to create a new and exciting atmosphere, spiced with the savory fragrances and flavors of the Mediterranean.

The music of “Hagiga” is influenced by such artists as Jazz Messengers, Wayne Shorter, Brad Mehldau and Joshua Redman.

Hagiga are:

Alon Farber- soprano and alto Saxes
Yehonatan Cohen- tenor sax and flute
Oded Meir- trombone
Eden Giat- piano
Assaf Hakimi- contrabass and electric bass
Roy Oliel- drums
Special guest- Nitzan Bar (guitar)

‘This is one of the finer groups that the Fresh Sound label has produced… Farber and his musicians have incredible empathy and their own voice. They are NOT copycats, nor sound like anyone else… This record is for anyone who is wanting to hear a new voice emerging in the jazz scene”
Nathan Halaway www.Jazzreview.com

“No other way to put it: the Alon Farber Hagiga Sextet is a fantastic find … Hagiga has developed a tasteful interplay while melding disparate musical traditions from around the world”

“New Directions is a well-crafted CD led by Saxophonist Alon Farber and drummer Dani Benedikt whose writing is original and smart, balanced and most importantly, thoughtfully aware of each one of the individual band members. Taking their time, the band captivates the listener through a deliberate, interesting and wondrous journey”
